PlaneSense selects VRpilot for PC-12 and PC-24 procedure training

PlaneSense, Inc., a leading fractional program operator in the U.S., has partnered with VRpilot to deliver a virtual reality (VR) based interactive cockpit procedure training solution. With more than 280 pilots for its large and growing Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 fleet, the VRpilot tool will be a valuable part of the company’s robust pilot training.

PlaneSense, Inc. will use VRpilot’s solution to provide efficient and flexible training cockpit instruction to new-hires and captain upgrades. The unique capabilities of VRpilot’s procedure training platform, VRflow, will enable PlaneSense, Inc. to add a new dimension of functionality to flight crew training while also reducing the costs and complexity of training across different locations.

Kevin Gordon, VP of Flight Operations, PlaneSense, Inc.: “PlaneSense,Inc. is known for its rigorous pilot training. Daniel Maass, Partner, VRpilot: “We are excited to deliver procedure training for the PC-12 and PC-24 to PlaneSense, whose leading operational experience with both aircraft types makes them a fantastic partner.”

Studies have shown that VR-assisted learning has the potential to improve knowledge retention by up to 400 percent, key to building strong pilot skills. PlaneSense, Inc. will run VRpilot’s VRflow platform on Pico 4 Enterprise VR headsets to better engage pilots and promote the ability to remember complex procedures.
